We are always so pleased when a customer comes back to us after a restoration project to tell us how delighted and happy they are with the work we have completed.
Chris,
Thank you for the excellent job you did with the restoration of the 1962 TV 175 from the parts bin. I have now covered over 100 miles and it always starts second or third kick. and moves off very smoothly.
The clutch and gear change are well adjusted and has a smooth precise feel. It is the new scooter I always wanted but couldn't afford (at the age of 17) when they were in the showrooms.

Chris,
Here are some pictures I took of your handiwork on the TV175 Lambretta.
You might like to know that I have now sold it. I advertised it in Scootering magazine - perhaps you saw it. The chap who bought it was clearly chuffed when he came to view, and once he'd seen it there was no question of him not buying! He's a vintage transport enthusiast, in his 50s, and he arrived to view the scooter in an MG. He came last Saturday with a Transit van to take it home to Southampton, where his family couldn't wait to see it, so he told me. He's got every intention of preserving it as it is as much as possible, he said, and plans to get it on the road early next year, for occasional runs out in good weather
.

It was sad to see it go but, as you know, I was under pressure from a certain wife Jessica! That gap in the garage (and in my life) is going to take some time to get used to after 44 years! Still, I did manage to put some more miles on the clock after it was restored and before it went away! It was reassuring to see it go to what I believe to be a good home. I would not have been happy about selling it to someone who was going to hammer it or turn into one of those chop contraptions you see in the press. Best regards, Mike.
